Something's Missing...
10 inches of hair and her two front teeth. Sunny had an exciting Saturday. She lost her second front tooth about 30 minutes after we cut her hair. It was about time. That tooth had been hanging on far too long. We called her "Sunny McPhee" for a couple weeks. She is one cute little smatchet.

Take a Hike
Monday was a perfect day. After Justin and Adam went mountain biking, we took the kids on a hike in a canyon near our home. We saw horses, beehives and beauty. It was 6.4 miles and we survived with "minimal" whining. Sunny was a little less than impressed with the local vegetation. She told me she thought the hike would be more fun if we just drove. I tried to make it more enjoyable for her by singing camp songs and the old, "I left my wife with 48 kids" chant that I so enjoy. She humored me and pretended to enjoy it. We followed up our jaunt with a trip to Jamba Juice and low and behold in the parking lot was a Ferrari. Adam was in heaven. He dreams of the day when he will buy one of his own. I dream of the day when he will stop asking me questions about cars. Honestly, do I look like I know anything about cars? I was thrilled for him. He talked about it for the rest of the day.

Sweet Dreams
My mom has been asking to see pictures of my daughters' room. They got their new beds for Christmas and my mom and sister helped me tie the quilts over Christmas break (well, actually Natalie did most of the tying and my mom bound the edges...it's nice having crafty family members!). I made the quilts out of fabric from my stash and from a dress of my great-grandmother's. You can't see it in the photo, but each quilt has a pocket from her dress. I love their vintage feel and am happy with the outcome. I finished their silhouettes this week. There is still a lot I want to do with this room...let's just say this room is ALWAYS evolving. I thought I should get a picture of it today. It was clean...not something that happens very often.

What Do You Get...

when you cross Arthur Fonzarelli, Danny Zuko, a ten year old boy and a doting Grandmother with money burning a hole in her pocket? You get this...
Adam has been wearing his new "uniform" every day since Christmas (it was too hot to wear to school today, so he put it on after his bath this evening). He even carries a black comb in his back pocket. Thanks a lot Grandma.
