Happy Birthday Wild Thing

Eight years ago a Minnie Wild Thing was born.

She grew. As she grew her hair faded and grew taller... and taller. There were good days.
There were bad days.

But, always there was...The Hair.
There were days of joy.

Followed by days of despair. Remember the self-inflicted mullet and Mulan's banishment?!

Our Minnie Wild Thing rarely makes appearances these days. To the Hair...I say, thank you...it has been a LOT of fun. To the little girl beneath it...I say, thank you for the sweetness you have brought into my life. Happy 8th Birthday Minnie. Mommy loves you.

New clothes...New shoes

Today, after a fun summer that seemed too short, the kids went back to school...always a little bitter sweet.
I've already cleaned out the garage this morning...let the nesting begin!

Love and Fireworks

Jack has a new gal pal. Minnie wrote a little ditty about them...

The Jack
Everyday Jack is a classic.
But when Jack meets Brooke his eyes turn to hearts.
Jack has a mate.
We had a fantastic 4th of July weekend. The Matsumori family came for the weekend.
We had a wonderful time with them...the beach, swimming, fireworks, good food and good conversation...J even managed to stay up after midnight twice!

Maurice, the Pied-Piper of small children, had the kids under his spell within 30 seconds of meeting them. Adam has been threatening to call him all day. Good times.
